Virtual Server Technical Updates

Because Virtual dedicated servers can be affected by maintenance work on the host operating system, we encourage you to sign up to receive email notifications of scheduled work.

To be kept informed of Scheduled Maintenance, Outages and other network information on Virtual Servers, you can subscribe to our mailing list. In order to maintain an effective managed list, your subscription lasts 3 months. After this period you should re-subscribe in order to continue to receive mails.

Remember that, in general, we do not manage security on virtual servers themselves. They are completely under your control, so please ensure you keep your virtual server securely patched. We strongly recommend you turn on Automatic Updating, and subscribe to relevant mailing lists, such as Microsoft, CERT (National Cyber Alert System) and CentOS.
